Currently: New Home, Dexter, and Harry Potter

This is my home. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Feeling: Tired. We moved into our new home last week. Frankly, it’s exhausting just looking at the boxes left to be unpacked. While I’ve made some pretty good progress, I’m having difficulty concentrating on work when I’m surrounded by so much clutter!
Side note: I had a little fun messing with friends on Facebook. I hinted at a four-letter-word change in my life. The word, of course, was “home”, but everyone jumped immediately to “baby”. Unfortunately, no one is as excited about a home purchase as baby. But I am super excited so that’s all that counts. 🙂

Watching: Dexter. I watched the first seasons back to back on Netflix (DVD throwback, yall). I caught up as the last season started airing, but I didn’t have Showtime. Now that I have Netflix again, I’m finishing the last season. Sad, it’s one of those shows that started out so strong and has just dwindled in quality over time.

Reading: Still on Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. I need to pickup another photography book though. I have a number sitting unread on my bookshelf, but which one will be next? Stay tuned, haha.

Looking Forward To: Exploring my new neighborhood. Frank and I bought our very first home in a cool part of Houston! After only being here a few days, it already feels a lot more like home than our previous neighborhood. Although I may be bias considering I now live in an awesome house versus a crappy apartment.

Making Me Happy: Business has been pretty good so far this year. After having a steady job and income for years, I’m still struggling with the woes of starting a business combined with the ups and downs of freelance work. One foot in front of the other though, right?
